End of School Year
This will be the last blog post of the year! Next week is our last week of school. Please keep in mind that late work needs to be submitted by Wednesday of next week in order to still receive credit. It has been such an honor to work with your scholars, and we look forward to one last week of learning but also some fun and encouragement as we send them off for the summer as rising 5th graders!

If you have any lingering supplies from the school (orange core knowledge readers, whiteboards, laptops, etc.) please have these dropped off at the school as teachers complete their final inventory of supplies.

ELA:
This past week in ELA, we finished The Wonderful Wizard of Oz! We are finishing our literary journey with an in-class writing project, reflecting on the big ideas of the book. We will also celebrate our last classic with a Literary Celebration on Tuesday, 5/25. Scholars will also be reciting Paul Revere's Ride this week, so make sure your student practices. We are so blown away by the way the scholars have grown in their language skills.
Math:
Scholars have done excellent work this week in math showcasing their knowledge of factors, prime numbers, and multiples. They have gotten to use their knowledge in games like prime climb and did great work on their quiz. We finished out the week with more review of fractions. Scholars will take one last quiz next week and end the year with a final refresher of fractions, multiplication and division. We are so proud of the hard work scholars have put into this year on their journey to becoming outstanding mathematicians!
History:
Hello historians! This week in history, scholars wrapped up their studies on the American Revolution and have begun work on their Texas history projects. Each scholar has a different prominent Texan to research and write about in order to teach their peers. We will finish out next week working on and presenting their work and findings.
Science:
Hey scientists! Scholars have been doing awesome work finishing up this unit on renewable resources and clean energy. We will wrap up our final week reviewing what we have covered and practicing good investigative skills.
